Born Again
is a story about the very real struggles of a teenager, who with the right friends, is lucky enough to be Born Again into a world of compassion, friendship and self confidence.
The novel addresses the mental health challenges adolescent males face in their day-to-day lives. Based on personal experiences but told through fictional characters, David takes the reader on a journey through attempted suicide, bullying, social isolation and awkwardness and sexual awakening.
These particular life challenges are eventually overcome through the solidarity of friendship, psychological counselling, medical intervention and the characters' courage to explore their inner selves and take a stand for their rights as human beings.
