Lyndell Casella

Lyndell Casella grew up in Far North Queensland, Australia. She always remembers the thrill of learning to read. Words sparked her imagination and together they became a doorway into another world – an enchanted world. This infatuation with stories led to the desire to write her own story, her very own arrangement of words that would also transport readers into other worlds.

As a child, Lyndell’s mind always thirsted for fanciful flights into exciting adventures. She was constantly reading and devouring every word her eyes could discover. As an adult, she became busy with life, and those imaginary flights of fancy took a back seat. However, her childhood wish to create and write her own adventures lay dormant like a seed buried deep beneath a winter snow. It only stirred and began to swell after a heart-breaking period in her life.

This heartbreak caused her to look closely at life and death. Was there still a consciousness when physical life ceased? This questioning ignited something deep within, and she ‘saw’ her own arrangement of words for this trilogy, strung out like a string of pearls, gleaming and beautiful to the eye. The Blood Tree is the first book in The Greater Good Trilogy, her gleaming string of pearl-words.

For fans of Nalini Singh, Charlaine Harris and Heather Killough-Walden, the first novel in The Greater Good trilogy by gifted storyteller Lyndell Casella will enthral readers.

The hunter becomes the hunted…

Angelic messenger Fallon was created to hunt and foil evil. Over time, she has thwarted many of her fallen brothers’ wicked plans for mankind. But every victory was stained with guilt for those she couldn’t save from the relentless creep of malevolence spreading across the earth.

The Blood Tree alone seemed to reassure Fallon that one day this too would change, and that once again the celestial and earthly worlds would be reunited.

Tired of being a warrior against darkness, Fallon elects, without authorisation, to go on a more light-filled mission. A mission that goes horribly wrong.

Racked with guilt and determined to make amends, Fallon does something that has never been done before: she becomes human to appease a mortal family’s grief.

Abandoned by most of her own kind in the Silver City for breaking their edicts, the now-human Fallon is exposed and in great danger. With no memory of herself as a powerful angel, Fallon becomes Gabrielle, a beautiful blonde-haired, green-eyed girl who grows up in Far North Queensland. But inexplicable tragedy after tragedy seem to plague her human existence.

Aided by her earthly friends as well as one angelic name-day sister, will Fallon remember who she really is before she is defeated by the darkness? Will her connection to the ancient Blood Tree give her human self the strength to continue her fight for the greater good? Or will she be forsaken to suffer in this place that is not her true home?

Will the forces that seek to exploit humanity finally overpower those tasked with safeguarding it? Find out in the sequel to Lyndell Casella’s No. 1 bestselling novel, The Blood Tree, in this dark fantasy trilogy.

 The hunted become the hunter...

‘Now is our time for glory.’ Tired of being exiled from his true home, the Silver City, Lucifer Morning Star has been stealing the essence of life itself from innocents to recover his former angelic power.

While the Council of Angels are oblivious to this impending peril, Lucifer and his fallen brethren have grown stronger and now pose a real threat to both the human and angelic realms.

Gabrielle Harrison, the angel Fallon’s human form, has discovered the power of the Blood Tree pendant, but is still without her full angelic powers.

Josiel is in hiding, and Gadriel has been pulled before the council, so the pendant is the only form of protection Gabby has against the demonic and cult forces that are hellbent on destroying her and all those she loves.

In this perilous time where darkness threatens to overtake the light, the heavens above must prepare for war to save their own city and the human realm they protect… while Gabby must also survive the heartbreak and chaos that is heading her way.

Expect the unexpected in book two of The Greater Good Trilogy as this riveting sequel takes readers through a story unlike any other – full of unimaginable highs and lows, intrigue, passion, betrayal and courage.

‘Such a great read! Couldn’t put it down and am now eagerly awaiting the third book to see how this amazing story ends.

Gabby’s newfound knowledge of her past angelic life does not deter her from living her human one but helps her understand and prepare for what darkness is coming. I love that Gabby’s family and friends continue to love and stand by her in spite, or perhaps because, of the unexplainable that surrounds her. They just accept that she is somehow different and that strange things happen around her and are still unwavering in their loyalty for her.

This sequel to The Blood Tree presents more wonderful people and experiences to Gabby/Fallon’s human life while also introducing more of those who wish to do her harm – supernatural beings and humans alike. There is also more insight into the way of the angels in Silver City.

Blood for Glory is such a captivating and interesting story of a supernatural fight between good and evil, yet it also touches on current real-life issues through the happenings of Gabby/Fallon’s human life. Loved it!’

‘The next instalment of Lyndell Casella’s much-anticipated second book release, Blood for Glory, is worth the wait! Her Greater Good Trilogy has been hailed a #1 bestselling dark fantasy series for good reason.

I’ve had the honour of reading book 2 early as part of her ARC team. Blood for Glory takes the reader back to the whirlwind and unique life of Gabrielle Harrison, formerly the warrior angel Fallon.

Deeply complex and masterfully crafted, we discover more about Gabby’s former angelic self and why wickedness is drawn to her.

Book 2 builds on the realm of angels and demons that exists in between our own world. Lyndell captures that deep level of fear, which really makes you feel the danger these characters are in. It makes you question your own reality, the struggle between dark versus light, and how it all hangs in the balance – suspended between forces that are mostly unseen.’

‘This book is impossible to put down! Lyndell takes you on a phenomenal journey as she captures the ancient story of good versus evil and brings out some of the real issues of our times. The main character, Fallon, also reminds us of what is important in this world: our environment and our humanity.

The descriptions of the Silver City and the existence of the supernatural were expertly detailed, and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters that are fighting for the greater good.

I can’t wait for the next book in this trilogy to see Fallon unlock all the secrets of her otherworldly past and The Blood Tree. I just didn’t want this first book to end, it’s that good!’

‘Lyndell Casella takes you on a gripping, hang-by-the-seat-of your-pants story. This book is a high-throttle journey through the realms of light and dark. It gives readers a glimpse into the angels that both safeguard and exploit humanity, as well as a front-row view of the thin veil between multiple dimensions. This novel has left my heart rate elevated with intrigue. The Blood Tree is going to be the next big read. It will leave you eagerly anticipating the second book of The Greater Good Trilogy.’
